The inspiration for the name Mad Jack’s has come from the local 18th century squire Jack Mytton an accomplished horseman who is legendary in the area for his rather eccentric antics. He squandered his fortune and ended up in a pauper’s jail following a life of heavy drinking and riotous behaviour some of these antics are portrayed in the art work around the restaurant.
Enjoying a town centre location in a beautiful old building, Mad Jack’s is a quality restaurant offering fresh seasonally inspired food with the emphasis on sourcing quality ingredients and wherever possible getting these from local suppliers.
